Why This Property?

Special care has been taken to chose everything in the design and furnishing of the house with the vacation renter in mind. The beds are especially comfortable. The bathroom has every amenity including magnifying mirror and makeup lighting. There is a pool table, loads of games, big screen TV, and bean bag toss. Name it we have it. The kitchen has every tool, dish, pan, appliance you would need to prepare even a gourmet meal. The living room seating begs to have the family talking and laughing. It sets the stage for great fun evenings after you spend the days exploring. The outdoor area is breath taking with it's views. You can eat outside under the covered patio. Light a fire and simply watch the sunsets. On holidays this region celebrates! You might get to watch the 180 degree mountain view light up with fireworks. Or enjoy the amazing color change in the fall from green to fiery oranges, yellows and red. Or marvel at the snow covered mountains and the quiet pristine lake.

Guest Access

The house is the lower level, completely secure and separate from the upper private residence. It is a quiet residential community. Several of us have vacation rentals but we are a neighborhood. You enter on through the main door with a key access code. There is also a lock box just in case.

The Space

The living space is completely open. Living room seating anchors the room with a large sofa, comfy chairs and even large rocking chairs. A great place to watch movies or the big game. The kitchen overlooks the living room area and has a constant view of the lake while you are busy preparing, In fact, every bedroom and the living areas have wonderful views of the lake and mountains. There is a dining area to the right of the kitchen area. And then there is the games area anchored by a pool table that is beloved of all. There is also an area where you can set up your workstation and catch up with the real world should you need to. There's WIFI throughout. Both the bed rooms are private with lovely views. One has a queen bed, one has a king bed. There are closets and luggage racks. There is an additional air mattress that easily fits into the open living space for additional guests.

Features Description

The design is open, high ceilings, lots of windows, big double doors across the living area to the patio. Pine cabinets, doors, trim add to the mountain flavor. There are homey quilts on the beds, fluffy pillows, rich towels. Everything spells comfort.

Location Description

Mountain Sunset Place is in a small residential community on the side of a hill overlooking the 7,000 acre Lake Chatuge in Hayesville, North Carolina. Less than a mile off Highway 64 on Highway 175. That places the house between Hayesville, North Carolina and Hiawassee, Georgia. Franklin, North Carolina is 25 miles to the East. Murphy, North Carolina is 16 miles to the west. Atlanta is 2 hours drive south. Helen, Georgia is 25 miles south. Clayton, Georgia is also about 25 miles. Asheville is about 2 hours drive northeast. Knoxville, Tennessee is 2 hours northwest.

Getting Around

You will need transportation for there is little public transportation. There are shuttle services to the Atlanta Hartsfield airport.
